Brandy della Torre
The “La Torre” brandy is classified, according to the Hennessy classification method, as X.O (Extra Old) since it is aged for more than 6 years. In our case the aging is 25 years.
Goretti Brandy is the result of a long history passed down through three generations. Balanced in taste and aromas, harmonious, with good nose-palate correspondence. Born as a wine distillate, it was first obtained by Arab alchemists in the 7th-8th century AD and used as medicine; subsequently it spread first to Spain and Ireland and then to the rest of Europe. Its current name derives from the Dutch brandewijn which means “burnt wine, fiery wine”. An Italian-French convention (January 1, 1950) establishes that the term “Brandy” should only be used for wine distillates made in Italy. The term used in France is instead “Cognac”.
It is aged in oak wood barrels that add particular aromas and soften its flavor; if refined in oak barrels it has a golden or brown color. The difference between this and other distillates consists in the raw material, namely Wine, the object of distillation, considered more noble when compared to others.

Round, fragrant, broad, full-bodied, velvety and balanced. Justly persistent.

It has a gold, amber color, tending towards mahogany; with an average aging time of a few years the color is in darker shades.
